Besides being a “Listening and Solution Providing Port”, we care about the development of social life and take it as a duty to maintain our support in this field. In this respect we actively play roles in various social responsibility projects.
On Sunday, November 03, 2019, we participated in the Istanbul Marathon Run to support the campaign “Run to Siirt, Run to Education!” organized by TEGV (The Foundation of Turkish Education Volunteers). During the 15 km race track starting from the first bridge of Bosporus to Yenikapı we had some great experiences and also supported our children living in Siirt. 12 of our colleagues joined the marathon and herewith we would like to thank all of those who supported the marathon run and congratulate our colleagues who have completed the run.
We donated blood in collaboration with the Red Crescent under the motto “Blood Donation Saves Lives”. We thank all of our colleagues who donated blood.
We came together with the students of the University of Kocaeli, Faculty of Maritime Studies at the seminar with the topic “Environment and Green Port”. Many thanks to the school’s administration for their warm welcoming and to the students for their interest.
In scope of the “Don’t Throw Away, Donate” campaign of the Foundation of Turkish Education Volunteers (TEGV) we have collected 100 kilograms of electronic waste and handed over to the related authorities. Thanks to our colleagues who supported us.
The aids in kind sent by our company for the Uğurlu and Esmahanım villages of the province of Düzce have been handed over to the Disaster Coordination Center of the Governorship of Düzce.
We visited the Hedise Evyap Elementary School for the ceremony of the “Collecting Hope Cap by Cap” project. In scope of the project aiming to provide wheelchairs for persons in need, about 2 million bottle caps have been collected. With the support of the District Governorship of Körfez and the District Directorate of National Education of the district of Körfez; the wheelchairs purchased with the bottle caps collected by the Tiny Lives Team of the Hedise Evyap Elementary School and by other schools located in the districts of Körfez and Derince have been handed over to the authorities. We are very happy for having participated in this meaningful project.
We have visited, together with the R&D Team of the Evyap Tuzla Factory, the Mürüvvet Evyap Special Education School where handicapped children have special education and also the Hedise Evyap Elementary School. We had plenty and lovely chats with our students and also joined class works.
Just in the eve of the June 5, the World Environment Day we visited, together with our environmental volunteer teams, our colleagues and stakeholders. We talked about our environmental activities and explained how they contribute to it.
The students of the Mürüvvet Evyap Special Education School visited our port for their charity bazaar. We congratulate our gifted students and valuable teachers for the handcraft products, each being wonderful.
We have been informed by the authorities of the District Health Directorate of the district of İzmit on “Organ Donation and its Significance” and later on we donated our organs.
Dr. Halil Arslankaya of the Kocaeli Acıbadem Hospital visited our port for an interview with the topic ”Approach to Children with Fever”. We thank him a lot for the useful information which he shared with us.
In collaboration with Evyapport - Hedise Evyap Elementary School - Bekir Sıtkı Özer Secondary School and the Red Crescent and upon approval of the District Governorship of the district of Körfez: an aid campaign has been raised for the students of the Musa Özalkan Culture Center which has been built in the memory of Infantry Chief Petty Officer Musa Özalkan who died a martyr in Afrin during the “Operation Olive Branch”. During the campaign clothes, toys, supplies etc. have been collected whereas a ceremony has been organized at the Hedise Evyap Elementary School on Thursday, January 31, 2019. After the ceremony, the collected commodities to be delivered to the people in need living in Çobanney-Syria have been delivered to the executives of Red Crescent which provides logistics support.
As Evyapport, we supported the blood donation campaign at the Eastern Marmara Customs and Trade Regional Office. We thank all of our employees having donated blood.
On December 03, on the international day for disabled persons, we visited the Private Mürüvvet Evyap Special Education School where we are always happy to be. We had lovely chats with the students and also participated in the workshops.
In scope of the Coding Week events celebrated by the European Schoolnet from October 06 to 21, 2018; the launching ceremony of the “A Coding and Robotics Workshop for Every School” project conducted by the Governorship of the province of Kocaeli has been organized. During the ceremony which took place at the Kocaeli Science Center Certificates of Participation having been given to companies which supported the building of Robotics and Coding Workshops in 17 elementary schools. On Friday, October 19, where this special ceremony was held for companies having supported the project; Mr. Mehmed Evyap, Chairman of the Board of Evyapport received his certificate of participation from Mr. Zekeriya Özak, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Kocaeli.
We provided a briefing training to the students of the Hedise Evyap Elementary School on raising awareness of environment and on the importance of recycling wastes. With the training in form of a cartoon film and explaining the subject in an amusing manner the children had also the opportunity to ask everything they wanted to know about environment.
